Under Justin Trudeau, taxes are increasing and the cost of living continues to go up.
To make life more affordable for our seniors, Conservatives have announced that a new Conservative government will increase the Age Credit by $1,000 per year, per senior. For a couple, this will mean up to $300 more in their pockets.
Universal Tax Cut
Our Universal Tax Cut, which is targeted specifically at taxpayers in the lowest-income tax bracket, will mean the tax rate on income under $47,630 will be reduced from 15 per cent to 13.75 per cent, making life more affordable for each and every Canadian.
This will allow an individual taxpayer to save as much as $440 on their taxes each year. A two-income couple earning an average salary would save over $850 per year. This means more money in your pocket, so you can get ahead.
Green Public Transit Tax Credit
This 15% tax credit for public transit users will result in hundreds of dollars of savings for every Canadian that uses it. Trudeau eliminated a similar tax credit, while simultaneously introducing a carbon tax, and failing to build public transit.
Unlike Justin Trudeau and his carbon tax, our plan will make life more affordable for transit users in our community.
Removing GST off home heating costs
A new Conservative government would make life more affordable for Canadians by taking the GST off home heating costs. This measure could save a Canadian family $107 every year.
